Hi, I’m Christine, the mahjong enthusiast behind Sparrow & Dragon. I learned to play mahjong in May 2025 and immediately knew that I wanted to share this game with everyone in my life. By fall 2025, I had taught my husband, elementary-aged children, my mom, my college friends, and pretty much anyone who sat near me for too long.

I started an Instagram creator page as an outlet for my love of all things mahjong, and the more I shared my favorite tile sets and accessories, the more I wanted to get more involved in the mahjong community! I now play in leagues and tournaments whenever I can and I’m excited to be teaching in a formal setting.
