A woman with long dark hair, bangs, and pink earrings seated at a table playing with pink Mahjong tiles featuring flowers, animals, and symbols. She is smiling, wearing a dark floral top, a gold necklace, and an Apple Watch. The setting is a brick-walled restaurant or café with a wooden door, brick walls, and large windows, one displaying a sign with hours of operation.

Christine Burnside offers beginner mahjong lessons, open play events and private mahjong tutorials in Greensboro, NC and the Triad.

From her first thrown tile, Christine realized that there was something special about American mahjong and needed more of it in her life. She has competed in several leagues and tournaments and is passionate about sharing her love of mahjong with others.

Christine’s full-time job is managing attorney of the Deuterman Law Group’s Social Security disability department, which is where she cultivated her love of helping others and teaching complicated concepts in accessible ways.

Whether you’re looking to take your first mahjong class or whether you’re an experienced player looking to host a private mahjong night, Sparrow and Dragon has the mahjong event you’re looking for in the Triad.
